  • JohnnyoftheWell also nice work sniffing out that Kamisama no iu toori single lol, fun gem. Etsuko Yakushimaru's band Soutaisei Riron's debut is an indie pop classic Junji Ishiwatari played guitar and wrote lyrics for Supercar, whose full career is a glorious zeitgeist snapshot and full of highlights

  • JohnnyoftheWell worthwhile), my personal fav Seiko Oomori started off as full-on scorched earth folk pop/punk and then kinda ran the full gauntlet of everything worth hearing in 10s/20s Jpop, but is more of an acquired taste, and if I haven't rec'd you Tujiko Noriko yet, her early run (minus debut) is a slept on gem for that art/dream/glitch pop your Macarooms and Yeules do so well. BONUS recs = Citrus discog compilation and BOaT third record, both of which are mixed vox and zany hyperactive rawk/pop perfection

  • Sowing That's actually a very good question, and probably one that I should add to the FAQ so thank you. Typically, the most relevant/famous keeps the band name, then subsequent artists with the same name are deliniated by location using the official abbreviation for that state/country/region. So for example, a less famous/popular Band A from California might be entered as "Band A (USA-CA)". If you let me know what artist you're talking about in this specific instance, I can try to advise further.
