 | Keasbey i don't know if you saw the comment on my list, but if you like weezer's blue album you might light ozma - the doubble donkey disc. not a bad album. maybe not original, but it's a better weezer album than weezer themselves have put out in a decade.

 | ConsiderPhlebas It doesn't have to be a joke review just because it has a little humour in it. The humour just gets the point across effectively, makes the whole thing seem less confrontational, particularly in a review which deviates from the standard format.

| North0House Lol for sure. They're in my top 5 favorite bands of all time, simply because their music really relates to how I lead my life, in a seriously weird way. But, I'm more of a Brand New fanboy haha.

 | brandnewAAAA If you're not a troll (I honestly don't think so), then your review was great for a first one, and I happen to really like GYBE!. People here tend to take music taste so much serious than it really is.

 | Gyromania Here's the thing: I think that your first review was pretty bad and at points offensive. I'm convinced that it wasn't necessarily your intention to invoke such anger, and most of the users (myself included) were harsh on you, but I hope that doesn't sway you from contributing further reviews to the site. If i were you, I'd review something in your comfort zone, an album that you can truly relate to and know inside-out. Anyways, I just thought I'd say that much.

| Xenophanes If you take things slowly, this site could really be a good thing for you. Yeah, the elitists can be awful, but some are elitists because they have a good idea of what they're talking about. Personally, I love this site, and I hope that in time you will too.

 | Sowing yo i can see you are taking a lot of abuse in your review thread, just wanted to tell you to keep your head up. i can tell you worked hard on the review, and you may need a lot of improvement (and that album was a bad album to review at a 1.5 for your first review) but you can always recover. just focus on backing up your points and next time start with something you know more about, something that won't leave you vulnerable to such a wide open verbal assault...lol : )

| SeaAnemone exactly. see... even you admit that you aren't all that knowledgeable about music. I say this in the nicest way possible-- have a little humility... realize that just because you have (elementary) opinions, they don't need to be spouted out... and have a little regard for people who know far more about music than you do. don't speak ignorantly. eventually... if you lay low and keep an open mind about music, your taste will get better.

Also, the reasons I make fun of you are: it's easy, it's fun, you came on this site to immediately tell everyone their taste sucks because some people like metal and not enough people like indie, which is ridiculous, and "greatest musicianships" is grammatically incorrect in that sentence and I like pointing out stupidity. | Bitchfork Yeah, I mean you really can't get into it unless you think you're in the mood for it. Personally, I'm not the biggest Animal Collective fan in the world, as MPP grew off on me after like five listens, but yeah Strawberry Jam is the bomb. I actually think bands like Caribou are much better, but I can understand the appeal of a summer indie band.

| Bitchfork Oh my god how do you not like William Basinski? Ugh. Read up on the album and allow it to absorb you. It's one of THOSE albums that you really need to allow it some time before you can really... um... get it. As well, if you didn't realize it's extremely mood specific. You can't exactly play it at a party if you know what I'm saying. Since it seems you're into more dancey indie, you might want to check out James Blake, The Avalanches, and Caribou.
