Way too many damn chugs with too little variation. It's like djent with some actual bite, but
nowhere close to the dynamic riffing that I want from a good mathcore album.

Danza, Car Bomb, Meshuggah, and Dillinger all hatefucked each other and then had a baby they injected with steroids. That baby is Frontierer and this album is absolutely insane. The only thing keeping it from a 5 is its length as 50 minutes of non-stop pummelling can get tiresome.

Really aggressive music that is really well done, but is to samey, this could, and should, have been an EP and I would love it if it were, but 45 minutes of this is to much. I'll listen to a few tracks here and there, but I can't sit through the whole thing at a time, it gets boring and loses it's impact.

I was expecting a noisy, grimy mathcore album but instead get djent chugs (minus the sterile production) with a few short dillinger mathy riffs. Most of the songs have little to no variance from the one before

Frontierer have mastered a very interesting and chaotic tone. And it is desperately needed during this somewhat time of famine in the feast or famine genre that is metalcore. Its energy is also an amazing feat to experience. However, if we're to look at this outside of the genre and at the album on its own merits, there just isn't enough variety here to justify the length of the LP, and that sucks, because they have some extraordinarily original ideas.

This whole record is like a nightmare in the twilight nether realm, slinging you back and forth
between heaven and hell. The good news? It's mostly hell.It's a draining listen because of the
sheer volume of noise. Listen to the track "Bleak" to get a feel. And it will get a feel on you. It's
like being sodomized while wearing the eyeball contraption from Clockwork Orange.

After i listened to Sectioned's last release, i saw the related artists on Spotify and clicked on Frontierer to listen. I came across "Orange Mathematics" and saw myself in the same impact. It's a bit difficult to differentiate the two bands, since they work the same thing and give the music the same amount of hate.r

The production is the real star here, it's one of the most massive sounding i've ever heard, loud as all hell but still very clear, i don't remember any particular riffs or anything though...

Just found this album in "recommended" under knocked loose on spotify. Reminds me of everything I love about Danza -- all I need now is Phil Bozeman guest voxrUpped to 4.5 for replay value
