This could be your album of the year. It is delivered as an irish folk album but is much more than
that. All songs flow so well and a lot of the time there is this menacing drone background and
repetition which makes this an immersive, transcendent and pretty dark experience. Listening to
False Lankum should be pure joy.

Atmospheric Irish avant-folk with slabs of drone and back-and-forth between the brooding and the Shire-like. False Lankum really nails its pace, with its 70 minutes passing by easily thanks to the wide array of soundscapes the band invokes.
