4.5 superb | Chino smoking it up! | April 26th 24 | Honnestly is getting better every listen. I
came to love Etemen Aenka by the end of that
year, but what Asheran's fans struggled was to
accept the brighter, polished vibe and the
lack of tighter riffs to broader concepts,
builds and maybe the called "highs". With
Voidkind the more organic sound, riffs and
bouncing technical transitions are back. In
other words the sludge is back, for the sake
of Asheran's faves. It has still a lot of
sections that takes to those more post metal
vibes from EA, known from bands like CoL etc.
The idea of unmemorability is also a lie. It
has hooks as fuck. The vocals are greater than
ever and the melodic ones gives it a loooot of
dynamics. I can get that its coheviness looks
like its coming back to main theme etc that
could give that fake feeling. It rocks.

3.0 good | Bro has djent in his pie | April 23rd 24 | More Mastodon sounding music, the post metal influence is barely, barely there. Sounds fairly similar to the bands prior material to me.

3.5 great | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | April 22nd 24 | It just struck me listening to this album, but... umm, have the clean vocals always been this choppy? They seem to not quite fit a lot of the time.

3.7 great | Erwann S. STAFF | April 22nd 24 | Great and all, but I feel Dvne's formula of epic sci-fi buildups and long proggy processings would need some shake-ups to stay relevant in the coming years. Voidking is big and heavy and sludgy and it does riff and whatnot, but its soundscape isn't hitting me as hard as its predecessors'.

3.5 great | God of terror, very low dost thou bring us, very low hast thou brought us | April 21st 24 | Great album. It causes an excellent first impression because everything is executed clean and
nicely, with hard riffs and sweet atmospherics turns. On repeated listens however, it definitely
lacks originality. You've heard this all before. It's a very well executed mismash of bands like
Tool, Mastodon, Kylesa and The Ocean. Don't take me wrong, this sounds fantastic and it's still a
great album, just nothing new if you are an experienced metalhead.

4.0 excellent | GhostShelter | April 21st 24 | A YouTube review I just watched classified voidkind as post metal first and prog metal second, whereas Etemen was the
reverse. Seems accurate.
