Very ignorant and narrow minded opinion below.You'll agree with my rating in about 5 years if you don't already.Another instant classic and best so far from the ancient cult.

For Inquisition's newest album, there is some great material on here. Everything was excellent and there were some very unique riffs but for the vocals, not so amazing (the vocalist literally sounds like Popeye from the old cartoon).

Frog man can write riffs for days but when each song basically revolves around repeating one main riff for 3-4 minutes with little else in the way of songwriting personality it gets samey real quick. Using only one guitar definitely makes Inquisition sound unique, but that doesn't really make up for how it feels to be beat over the head with the same basic idea song after song.

Some superb obscure riffs on here. Celestial atmosphere and great melodies as well. A couple forgettable tracks and the vocal performance on this record is pretty weak. Other than that, pretty great black metal record.

"I love black metal, I had no problem with the vocals here and still I'm not a fan of this album. The production is great, there are some exellent riffs but I did not feel any maturity behind it. The large majority of the songs follow the same stucture with clear verses & chorus, everything is made to be catchy, the riffs can sound a bit too similar sometime, there is a pretty weak replay value overall and the lyrics (since it is comprehensible here) are very cliche" -- That's what I wrote two years ago, I changed my mind a bit as I think it's fun now, all i said is still true but I listen to the album quite often, it's pretty unique, I'd call it arid black metal with this voice not able to scream, feels dry and the buzzing guitars. Fun and unique, that has to be more than 3/5.
