Nowhere near grindcore, lol.

They sound like The Black Dahlia Murder with breakdowns and better vocals.

Looks like you're very familiar with the metalcore genre! This Message Edited On 10.31.07

It won't go anywhere as long as morons like you who can't distinguish one sound from another exist.

ROFL, why do stupid people always have to bring up my bands when I tell them they're wrong about something?

I really don't care what your opinion on my music is, because your opinion, in-general, sucks. This Message Edited On 10.31.07

Mappy you're dealing with a bunch of know-nothing morons.

Are these guys scene? Yes
Are they a laughing stock? Yes
Does that play a role in their genre? NO

You're fighting with kids who think to be melodeath you have to play some horrible shitty Soilwork style, or some SOTS mainstream bullshit. These kids have no idea what they're talking about, ever. You may like shitty bands but at least you know what those shitty bands are all about. This Message Edited On 10.31.07

Half these kids call Kalmah and Children Of Bodom melodeath. I just like telling idiots that they're wrong.

Also you're arguing with people who enjoy Soilwork. Soilwork is major lols, they're like the Hoobastank of melodeath.

Half these kids call Kalmah and Children Of Bodom melodeath.

That's because they think like this
Fast + Harsh Vocals = Melo Death + Breakdowns = Metalcore

I give up. Labeling music into genres and sub genres are ridiculous and confusing. Technically, Soilwork is alot better than BMTH. At least they have a sound of their own.

At least they have a sound of their own.

They're exactly like every other watered down melodeath band.

Band A sounds like Band B, not very hard moron.

Technically, Soilwork is alot better than BMTH.

Soilwork is nothing technical, period. Bring Me The Horizon's guitarists are just as technically proficient, their drummer is better, and Oli screams with proper technique, whereas you can tell Bjorn screams from the throat. GTFO.

At least they have a sound of their own.

History lesson: Soilwork ripped off these bands called At The Gates, Carcass, and Dark Tranquillity that were around well before them.

You must have misread me when I said technical. I didn't say Soilwork's music was technical. Soilwork set themselves apart in the 90's melo death scene adding huge booming chorus's, although not enough to distance themselves out musically. Maybe It's just me but I 'm not aware of others that played their style early in the 90's .Bjorn is a much capable vocalist then Oli will ever be.

i'm basically just sick of people bashing lyrics in the metal genre. i LOVE death metal, but most death metal lyrics are just as ridiculous if not more ridiculous than BMTH lyrics.

by the way these guys are NOT metalcore. UNEARTH is metalcore (and actually a good metalcore band at that)

and while these guys arent death metal they arent metalcore either. they are more straight up hardcore if anything. plus the band themselves call their music "hardcore"

either way it doesnt REALLY matter
