ey they finally released grounds, bit slower and more crushing than the live version. really reminds me of early Clash

new song is fine. doesn't have much of a strong memorable tune or chorus that Idles songs usually do, but the production is so crisp and delicious, makes it sound like it is clattering at my eardrums. Mr. Motivator was better

I prefer this over MM, but they're both great. This feels more like a Divide and Conquer, which is the sound I prefer. MM is a Danny Nedelko.

It’s all a bit ‘toppling over statues’ this innit.

does feel in tune with their more grower-songs, but even then it's not as strongly written i think Motivator was an instantly memorable fuck-it-lets-have-fun kind of track. a strange characteristic of the band has always been that the instantly fun tracks can get overplayed and the slow-building ones only reveal their magic after a while, so the tables might turn on these two. just my initial thoughts that Motivator > Grounds

This version is way slower and nastier than when they played it live, loving the layers of instrumentals in the last minute

sounds like a progressive unholy matrimony they'd be in support of, so go ahead
