missed "Check your instinct, baby" until now - such a hilariously misplaced line i'm almost grateful to rejamming
tedium levels are unbelievable here though, might have to downbump (defs doesn't deserve the same rating as Discouraged Ones)

For some reason Jonas singing "baby" comes off as a bit awkward to me. This album was fine, I don't even know anymore because I'm so biased with Katatonia. Is this better than City Burials? Are both albums just very mid compared to the previous few? This one was certainly a grower for me, I didn't remember anything from it on the first listen or two. I'm curious what I even rated it.

No, that is a correct observation.

Definitely thought this was stronger than City Burials, which is in-one-ear-out-the-other no matter how many chances I give it. Probably prefer it to Fall of Hearts and DEK, too.

This is way better than City Burials, I can't remember hardly anything from that even after multiple playthroughs.
