Choo, large statement. It's definitely beautiful. I may have to traverse through their discog again. Love this band.

"it's one of the best tracks of their career"

Jammed through 5 of their albums this weekend. All amazing, but you're right, Take Shelter is one of their best tracks.

I hear this, kinda like a Takk song with a slightly different aesthetic

I guess I'll be checking out Sigur Ros now. Heard a few songs years ago, but nothing took my attention back then.

Just went through a one week Anathema binge. Hard to believe, but I think I love them more than ever before. Contender for my favorite band ever, and in my discog ranking, this one is top 3 material (not quite sure, maybe it's no. 4). Lost Song Pt. 1 is also top 5 song contender. Man, what a band.

I’m absolutely baffled as to why this is relatively unloved around here in relation to their other stuff. This album is fucking amazing.

As far as I experienced it when it was released, people seemed to be disappointed with this album being too similar to the two previous ones, mostly because of how notorious Anathema are/were for constantly changing things up. (And the electronic stuff that's different is all piled up at the end which people seemed to find irritating - I personally never had a problem with that). Obviously, that doesn't take away from the individual quality of the songs, and there are thousands of bands that are considered good while still releasing the same album 5 times in a row. Expectations, I guess. It's obvious that this has some of their best songs. No discussion needed. I kinda hope that more people will come around to this eventually once they have accepted that the "every album something new" era of this band is over.

For some reason, this one never captured my attention like their other albums. Still solid though.

I find Lee's singing a bit off-putting here
