The album ending with People Verses and We Go Together, it really feels like they may have experimented more with a follow up to this. This album contains both the most melodic and heaviest AND weirdest tracks the band ever wrote. They really swung for the fences and hit a fucking home run



We Go Together is the most out there track these guys ever made, I hope we get a track or two really getting weird with it on the Better Lovers LP. Especially with Greg (hopefully) contributing to writing some music. He can get real weird

hope Keith is doing okay. Kinda why I don’t wanna go out of my way to trash Many Eyes. From what I’ve seen over the years… the guy clearly has a lot of issues. But his pengame on here is so ridiculously on point, it’s hard to believe he became a born again Christian or whatever the fuck.



Like, I got sober around the same time too, but AA is a fucking cult. I’m pretty sure that’s literally what “I Didn’t Want to Join Your Stupid Cult Anyways” and “The Coin Has a Say” are about. Better Lovers definitely got majority custody in the divorce, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like or care about Keith.

Ex Lives is a super weird album in that it has all my favorite ETID moments but the songwriting choices are wack af. Revival Mode definitely would have made the list if they just gave us the chorus in full at the end. Drag Queen, I Suck (Blood), and Partying is such Sweet Sorrow are the only songs I really feel are complete, hell, Bimbos is my fav ETID song and its stitched together haphazardly. "I want to be dead with my friends" and the breakdown make up for it times a million tho

Goddamn I couldn't disagree more. Gerard absolutely slayed that chorus, like he slays everything. I remember being profoundly disappointed when I first heard how Keith handled it.



A top 10 etid would be tough for me, that's like one per album lol. I can say for sure that A Gentleman's Sport, Gloom and How it Gets that way and Ebolorama make the cut though.

man fuck it, People Verses really has the best lyrics I’ve ever heard in my fucking life.



I really wish this record had better artwork because it’s creeping up as my favorite album of all time. Most def getting a tat dedicated to this record. I’m thinking “FIGHT FAIR AND DIE” will work pretty well in lieu of album art

Easily their best. Tried to get into them before with Low Teens and Gutter Phenomenon but they weren't really clicking until Radical came out. Hearing Sly sold me on this album. After that I knew this was going to be a new all time favourite.

rare (actually only) bad Kurt Ballou production job. It’s a great record but everything feels so… dry? Idk how to describe it. It sounds fucking horrible, which is a shame because it has a few of my favorite songs of theirs on it.

I find Keiths vocals really annoying on that album in particular. It has a couple decent tracks but I never really listen to it. Probably just made that hot take even hotter lol.
