Vocals are still wonderful and they sound like they are having fun and have energy. Not ground breaking but that’s ok.

Gigaton shit on this imo

Gigaton a 4 and this a 2.5? - must be looking for different things in a PJ album, simple as that

I think I've only listened to Gigaton once, and that was enough

Strangest thing happened this morning…I realised I was listening to a new PJ album for pure enjoyment. Never imagined that was possible.
Will make my top 100 albums of the year and probably a top five rock album of 2024. Well played the lads.

A lot better than last year’s hyped Foo Fighters…a lot less coverage in the media for this.

Yeah this wipes the floor with that album, but I wasn't anywhere near as big on it as others were on here.

If I enjoyed tracks 8-10 as much as the rest this might have claimed a 4...but attention does wander a bit there.
'Running' is a bit strained with Eddie singing clunky lyrics about the plumbing, the Something Special one is a bit sing-song'y/could be anyone and 'Got to Give' is a very by the numbers PJ song - none are actively bad, just 'quite good'. The closer is very solid though, great atmosphere to finish on.

Dipping me toe in.

Running and Something Special are the weakest here for me, but Running is fun.
I guess if I had kids I would appreciate Something Special more? Pretty sure it's about Eddie's two daughters, but it's very heart on sleeve with little nuance.
Got to Give is great, I can see why you would say its by the numbers but I find it insanely catchy. Closer has grown on me to the point that it might be top 3 on this for me.

Album is a fine-tuned, pop-rock record that offers little but delivers an enjoyable listen.
For a band that has been knocking around for 35yrs that is laudable indeed.
It’s great.

Nice to be listening to a good Pearl Jam album in 2024

I just don't understand how people can enjoy Eddie Vedder's vocals.
