Cocker's second album at Capitol. This time the record company decided to use five producers (his former album "Civilized Man" had only two) to ensure it's success, as they did on Tina Turner's "Private Dancer". The results are evident, production re-imagined Cocker's sound to suit the '80's audiences. The first two tracks "Shelter Me" and "A to Z" are consistent rockers. The power ballad "Don't You Love Me Anymore" shows us Cocker's sensible side, while the Boltonesque "Living Without Your Love" creates the perfect atmosphere for lovers. This albums hit "You Can Leave Your Head On" was ensured by it's use in a striptease scene in the nowadays cult-film "9 1/2 Weeks". Cocker's rendition of Marvin Gaye "Inner City Blues" isn't to be missed. All in all, I'd classify it as his second-best 80's album, right after "Sheffield Steel", of course.
