1.0 awful | Numali | April 19th 24 | Fluck a proverbial duck...these guys went full Nu Metal. Another one that goes
the 'Maturing' route. Awful album.

2.5 average | Eldar777 | April 19th 24 | It's not that awful, it's just generic even for metalcore standarts. The addition of clean
choruses and nu metal elements makes it even more bland. The last three tracks are not bad,
especially the closer, they remind of the old TGI at least.

1.0 awful | jrlikestodance | April 19th 24 | Half assed nu metal influence, bad lyrics/singing and just generally uninspired mosh parts. Beyond tedious!!!

2.0 poor | DarthHideous1 | May 7th 24 | This pales so much in comparison to their comeback self-titled from 2020. Wtf happened

2.0 poor | OverSlyZed91 | May 1st 24 | Stopped listening after the first track. It sucked that hard.

2.4 average | Erwann S. STAFF | April 22nd 24 | The Ghost Inside's foray into alt metal ain't surprising, and it also ain't surprising that Searching for Solace is full of mid choruses and generic chuggy chugs chugs.

3.0 good | iamSeraph | April 21st 24 | Masterpieces like Death Grip and Split as well as the interesting experiment of Cityscapes
shake hands with the most mainstream copy of Linkin Park I have ever heard by any metalcore
band ever, namely Wash It Away. If you close your eyes while listening to the latter,
Chester literally becomes alive again. I am not even fucking kidding. Why a VERY well-
respected and basically unhateable band in the genre (not only because of coming back from
their haunting and soul-crushingly sad past) does a shitty choice like this and basically
betrays their own hardcore slash metal roots so much that it's pure sellout is beyond me,
but that is something they will have to work out for themselves. Maybe they got pressured by
the label, maybe they just want more money aka broaden their fanbase with a crowbar, or
maybe they just want to play Rock im Park now, I don't know. But it's a choice I will have
to tolerate for now. There are still many redeeming qualities to find on Searching for
Solace and I will give them the benefit of a doubt. If their next album is another Fury and
the Fallen Ones, we can all grab a cold one again together.

2.5 average | iGuter | April 21st 24 | It?s been almost 4 years since their last album, and the band?s attempt at showing, some, progression in how much they have grown after their tragic accident. But, while there are some great shifts in their sound (Death Grip) and melodic, emotionally, gripping tracks(Cityscapes, Reckoning, and Breathless); a lot of this record sees a lot of the generic, melodic-metalcore sound you could take or leave, depending on what you are really into. Those parts of the album feel stale in comparison; not bad, but just mid overall, making for an unmemorable experience overall.
