A new peak for Glassing. Having comfortably stepped into the void left by deafheaven?s foray into pure shoegaze, they add enough of their own spin so as to not come off as trend chasing mimicry.

One album at a time, Glassing gain energy and confidence in their own music. Finally I can say that their work does seem consistent and exciting, even if somewhat repetitive.

I can see this growing on me, but for such an atmospheric album it feels strange that the tracks don?t flow together at all, which makes the pacing feel off. Some cool ideas here though and I dig the heavily decayed yet bright sound they are going for.
