Psyclon Nine started out as a guitar-driven industrial rock band in 1999 under the influence of KMFDM and Ministry, but then decided to turn towards aggrotech and industrial music, influenced by Suicide Commando, Velvet Acid Christ and Wumpscut. They released their debut, "Divine Infekt", in 2003, which proved to be a big hit in the electro-industrial underground scene. Starting in 2005, under the label from Melotropolis Records, Psyclon Nine started adopting a black metal influence as well, which first became evident with the release of "INRI". They originally disbanded in 2010, but reformed a year later, and have been active since.
