Orson is a Pop-Rock/Power-Pop 5 piece band from Hollywood-California. Despite forming in 1999, it was not until 2005 that they self-financed & self-released their debut album ‘Bright idea’. Mercury records then released it commercially in 2006 after both the album and lead single ‘No Tomorrow’ went to #1 on the charts in the United Kingdom! 3 more singles were to be released from the debut album with 2 of them also cracking the top 30 in the UK. Despite all this, the band is virtually unknown in their homeland.
Following a win at the BRIT Awards in 2007 as ‘Best International Breakthrough Act’, Orson based themselves in London and went on to release their 2nd album ‘Culture Vultures’ in October of that year. Lead single ‘Ain’t No Party’ reached #21 on the UK charts with the album disappointingly only making #25.
Orson are Jason Pebworth (vocals), George Astasio (Guitar), Kevin Roentgen (Guitar & Vocals), Johnny Lonely (Bass) and Chris Cano (Drums).
