Bad albums by good bands part 3

Part 3 of the list. Bands are either good, have released decent material, have multiple albums above a 3 on sput, or one of the two of us likes them
1Bon Jovi
What About Now

DK: 1.5, I knew we were in for a shit-slide during the first 3 seconds.  Everything was bad.
Me: 1.5, This album made me question if Bon Jovi were ever even any good
2Dokken
Shadowlife

DK: 1.5, I just wanted it to end.  A complete slog from the first note to the fade out at the end.
Me: 1.5, More like Dooken's Bowelmovementlife
3Dio
Angry Machines

DK: 2, Eh.  Some of the songs were merely passable, but wasn't good overall.  First track was bad.
Me: 2.5, Okay heavy metal album, a bit of a letdown considering it's Dio
4Skid Row
Revolutions Per Minute

DK: 2.5, I kinda liked two of the tracks, but this album had no idea what it wanted to be.
Me: 2, Wasn't really offensively bad, just sorta sucked and was all over the place stylistically
5Journey
Arrival

DK: 2, Extremely boring.  One track towards the end was mildly interesting.
Me: 2, made me very sleepy
6Twisted Sister
A Twisted Christmas

DK: 2.5, I certainly didn't hate it, but the only real decent track was essentially 'We're Not Gonna Take It'.
Me: 2.5, Enjoyable at points but the last song gave me a migraine
7Foreigner
Unusual Heat

DK: 2, A bit more passion than Journey's Arrival, but still dull.  Forgot it was on at times.
Me: 2, another bland inofenssive snoozefest
8Night Ranger
Neverland

DK: 2, Don't remember anything about it, other than it's inoffensiveness.
Me: 2, Another classic rock band making a boring album 20 years after they were past relevancy
9Styx
Kilroy Was Here

DK: 2, One okay song, and a whole lot of blah.
Me: 2, As expected, the only good song was Mr. Roboto.  The end was good, because it was Mr. Roboto again.
10Bob Dylan
Saved

DK: 2, The entire album sounded the same.  Dylan flanked by gospel singers, and I'm wondering "Why?"
Me: 1.5, Felt longer than 43 minutes, just Bob surrounded by gospel singers mumbling about being ready
11Talking Heads
True Stories

DK: 3, Not really my genre, but I enjoyed it well enough.
Me: 3, Some songs drug on for a bit too long but overall enjoyable. Makes me want to see the film
12April Wine
Frigate

DK: 2.5, A few good songs, and a few ho-hum songs.  Not as bad as I was expecting.
Me: 2, Meh.
13Blue Oyster Cult
Club Ninja

DK: 2.5, The final track was pretty cool, the song about beating someone up was cringe inducing.
Me: 3, Thought it was pretty good.  I wasn't actively suffering really at any time
14T. Rex
Bolan's Zip Gun

DK: 1.5, Oh dear god, this was awful.  The backup singers were grating, and they're on the whole album.
Me: 1.5, VERY bad, obviously someone in the band was dating a girl that he promised to let do backing vocals
15The Doobie Brothers
Brotherhood

DK: 2.5, I remember the song "Dangerous" when I was a kid.  "Excited" was a complete SRV rip-off.
Me: 2.5, Other than a blatant ripoff here or there, it was okay!
16Steely Dan
Everything Must Go

DK: 2.5, Sounded like Steely Dan without an idea.  You can tell this was at the breaking point.
Me: 2, You can actually pinpoint exactly where they realized it was crap and broke up after
17Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Street Action

DK: 2.5, "Meh" Dad-Rock.  Wouldn't be angry if it came on in a bar, but it wasn't particularly good.
Me: 2, My dad would probably think this is boring
18Kansas
Drastic Measures

DK: 2.5, I really love the first track on the album, but the rest of it was rather mild.
Me: 2.5, Started strong, petered out in the middle, ended on a decent couple songs
19Slayer
Diabolus in Musica

DK: 3, Not a Slayer fan, but was far from terrible.
Me: 3, Expected St. Anger, got Load/Reload
20Anthrax
Stomp 442

DK: 3, Definitely felt 90's, like they wanted to change their sound but didn't know what direction to go.
Me: 3, Didn't sound like Anthrax, but it was fine.  Pantera-lite
