| *ROUND 6* Super Sonic Electronic Tourney
3 USERS REMAIN. Hit me with some high qual ambient guys. | 1 | | Global Communication 76:14
*Ambient* (Electronic)
Album max length = 90 minutes | 2 | | Secede Tryshasla
*Yotimi*
Tryshasla paints a broad otherworldly painting that blurs the lines between ambient and techno (or IDM). The ladder of which reminded me quite a bit of Boards of Canada. The first few tracks set the tone for an ambient driven experience that incorporates field sampling to bring warmth and an organic feel to the spacey berlin school synth work over top. Lerraine builds from the retro ambience into a burst of downtempo beats and catchy melodies intertwined that brings you into Tryshasla's true nature. We are lulled into a rabbit hole of ambience again until Born In A Tropical Swamp gives us a lush sense of utopia. Friday Fall works as a good second wind from more of the tone setting ambience and Shrine was a true highlight to sort of conclude the album. Some of the pacing for me got a bit tiresome but overall I got a unique experience from the album and thoroughly enjoyed it. 3.9/5 | 3 | | Ian William Craig A Turn of Breath
*Chortles*
Ian William Craig induces a sense of cold emotional distance and solitude with seas of reverb. Organic samples of choir chants, tape manipulations, and ambient wash give you an eerie calmness that's neither disconcerting nor soothing. The sounds are still incredibly lush, however, which lures you in until you are kind of just stuck in it's emotional limbo and it isn't until it's over that you realize it's true beauty. The album as a whole is an experience; Which, to me, is the sole most important purpose of ambient music. 4.2/5 | 4 | | Taphephobia Access To A World Of Pain

Speaking of cold.... This album almost brought goosebumps at times listening late at night with headphones. This wasn't the most comfortable experience but with dark ambience from norway that's to be expected. Access To A World Of Pain was a slow breath of brooding atmosphere that relied on dissonance as a constant tension in a hellish realm of ambience. I thought Silence As A Weapon was creepy as hell and almost shit me britches. As good as this album was at creating an atmosphere and keeping it's tone consistent, I got a little bored at times. Still a solid listen. 3.8/5
