10.06.21 | I heard the song "Try Again" by aaliyah a lot when I was like 4 or 5 years old and always vividly remembered "it's been a long time, long time since I left you, left you" cheesy strings etc. as one of my earliest musical memories, and then years and years later (2013) heard "The Opponent" by RP Boo which chops the synth bassline from "Try Again" into a 9/8 rhythm and really liked it and then like a week ago I realized that it's just the bassline from try again looped into a 9/8 rhythm. that's my rp boo story and you also had aaliyah on your list did I already post this hmmhimimm |
