04.04.10 | Agreed. Found that I seem to go in 5's. '95-'00 loved the ska/punk. '00-'05 loved the nu/rap-metal. '05-'10 loved the metalcore. Of course there's some overlapping amongst them. I'm burnin out on metalcore now and am getting into stuff like russian circles & pelican so we'll see what the future brings. |

04.04.10 | restricting your taste to a single genre or time period is more narrow-minded than any singular musical fad.

04.04.10 | dunno about the profile pic, just funny i guess. it's gotten me some great reactions though.
RATM's a little rap-metal though, or rap-rock? whatever they are, they're still great. didn't really enjoy when audioslave came about though.
i prefer gift from Taproot. welcome's good but didn't like the couple after that. however, heard the new song from their upcoming album and was pleasantly surprised. sounds like something that could've been on welcome |

01.31.22 | I wouldn’t include Rage or Helmet in any discussion with nu-metal. Besides them, System of a Down, Korn and Deftones are the only ones I dig. |
Koris
01.31.22 | ^ Agreed. Rage and Helmet may have influenced a bunch of nu-metal, but they're definitely not part of the genre. I would even argue that System of a Down weren't too musically related to the genre either |
