ole!
| |
The Ole bits reminded me of Ed Sheeran’s aye-aye-aye. Liked this better than the other singles by a lot
| |
TWENTY TWENTY TWENTY FOUR HOURS AGOOOO
| |
this album is gonna be a hard 1 out of 5 and I will shit on rowan for his dumbass 4.2
| |
That was a blink182 song and I haven’t said that for about 20 years
| |
Not huge on the ole part but it's a decent song. I like the lead guitar a lot.
| |
God I hate this.
| |
these new blink songs are growing on me, and I'm so grateful.
Got tickets to see them in January, getting excited
| |
this is definitely better than any of the other new singles with Mark back, but that's not saying a whole lot
| |
It's not a bad song at all. A solid 7 out of 10.
| |
Best song so far
| |
Albums going to be fun which is all I can ask I guess from blink in 2023 lol.
| |
this is actually decent, chorus is boring tho
| |
Not as good as the other three songs, but still kind of fun. The chorus feels a little lazy.
| |
Didn't expect to be excited for a Blink-182 album in 2023, but here we are.
| |
sweet lead lick. chorus is real chessey so I dunno how to feel.
| |
The more emo Tom looks, the better their music is. That’s why s/t is peak blink.
| |
Honestly this sounds wayyyyyy better than I’d expect it to. Like sonically pretty much the best case scenario in terms of both instrumentals and vocals, but of course the lyrics are cringey since it’s like 50 y/o dudes cosplaying as teenagers.
| |
I really wish that ole part wasn't there, other than that, not too bad.
| |
The chorus sounds like a bunch of stuff you've heard before; in many ways, like a lot of choruses on California. Thing is I dig those usually, and I dig this chorus...and this song. My favorite of all the ones released for this new album so far.
| |
Tom is really firing on all cylinders on all these new tracks. Sounds like they actually tried to make a great blink record instead of cashing in. guessing this'll be my favorite of theirs since the self titled.
| |
Come on sputnerds, this song is awesome. This album is turning out as good as it possibly could have for 3 50 year olds doing a pop-punk reunion album.
| |
matt sounds different
| |
dan too. this isnt the alkaline trio i grew up on!!
not gonna jam this one since the album is only weeks away but i am humored that they dressed up as the ramones for this lmao
| |
Album is shaping up to be a little less serious than self titled or neighborhoods which is fine. Fun song. That ole chorus is going to go off in Mexico when they play there later on the current tour
| |
Love the song, it’s fun, reminds me of the fun singles from Enema through self titled, fairly clear now that Tom is the special sauce to blink.
| |
Sounds a lot like old-school blink, I really enjoyed it.
| |
Gonna be their best album since s/t methinks which is crazy because it's been TWENTY YEARS.
| |
Blink is Mark, Tom and Travis. It just goes to show that sometimes you can't replace what is real, or a pilar of a foundation like a band. We see it happen all the time.
I'm not saying this song is amazing or anything. It's fine. But I'm happy to see them back and will listen.
| |
It just wasn't the same with Skiba.
| |
Bruh could it be? It's a replacement. No shade on skiba he's amazing at what he does. But didn't work
| |
Was the intro "joke line" really needed there. Just drop into the song. Yeah😘 hey sony!
| |
They should've just replaced Tom with one of his thousands of clones that makes covers of his songs on youtube.
| |
all you need is a macbeth shirt and backwards cap and you're 90% there
| |
Lol
| |
Have had the song is my head for hours now
| |
Really fun song.
I'm glad that with every song they're releasing it seems like "Edging" will be the lowpoint of the album. If that happens, this will be their best one since s/t, which I wouldn't have bet on it after they broke the news on the reunion with Tom.
| |
This song fucks.
| |
Song fucking goes
| |
I've been pleasantly surprised by how the new album is shaping up. More Than You Know was great, this was fun, and while I didn't care for One More Time or Edging at first they've definitely grown on me a lot. Consider me officially excited for it.
| |
Hmmm, I don’t understand people liking this one. More than you know is infinitely better.
| |
This rules and actually sounds like Blink should. Only drawback is the lyrics are lame but I can live with that
| |
Blink lyrics typically are so that’s just par for the course.
| |
They have some good lyrics. Mostly found on the self titled album.
Here's a letter for you, but the words get confused
And the conversation dies.
| |
I think this is a great song.
| |
"this album is gonna be a hard 1 out of 5 and I will shit on rowan for his dumbass 4.2"
the most rent free anyone has ever been lol
| |
songs good btw. ole
| |
“Blink lyrics typically are so that’s just par for the course.”
True but I meant more the lack of them on this lol. Lame the chorus is just Ole
Song rules in spite of though
| |
"True but I meant more the lack of them on this lol. Lame the chorus is just Ole"
You're talking about a band whose biggest hit's chorus was "nananananananananana nananananananananana"
| |
Appropriate amount of nah's, I approve.
| |
You're talking about a band whose biggest hit's chorus was "nananananananananana nananananananananana"
Nanana is better than Ole, but also I’d prefer they don’t retread past mistakes lol
| |
All 4 songs are growing for me ngl
| |
They’re all great except Edging
| |
Yeah, Edging is average at best, but a mindless summer bop nonetheless.
| |
anyone like "fell in love"?
| |
I dig it! Lyrics are a bit wack but idc, sonically this is the best blink has sounded in 20 years. Seriously, bringing Tom back wasn't just some attempt at cheap hype like I initially thought.
Really excited for the album
| |
Really liked it as well.
| |
Robert Smith co-writer
| |
Hmmm, latest song is also pretty sweet, this is shaping up to be quite good actually!
| |
Yep, singles are 5/6. Album should be awesome.
What's everyone's thoughts on the new artwork? I kinda prefer the hot pink one honestly lol
| |
Hot pink was better, but I guess I understand the creative decision behind the final one
| |
Yeah I preferred the hot pink as well. Only single I'm not huge on is Fell In Love tbh, album should be good
| |
I don't think this album will be good but seeing Tom and Mark back on good terms and how the songs feel like they had actual care put into them makes me feel like this is going to be one I return to a lot.
Won't forgive all the Fortnite dancing though in the Skiba saga.
| |
A part of me feels like this has only happened because Tom had a dream where an alien told him to go home or some shit though.
| |
“If you don’t go back to Blink, Tom, we won’t abduct you”
| |
what's his age again
| |
Probably mid-60s or something by this point. Every time they write a shitty song, they age a little bit faster
| |
Glad they chose aliens over vampires in the end anyways regardless of if the quality still stays the same.
| |
Imagine if they were senile, 500-year old vampires. All they’d remember would be partial dick jokes and that they suck blood
“Blah, blaaaah, i vant to suck your… wait…”
| |
I get ya, kind of reminds me of the time Goku and Piccollo were hanging out driving cars and fuckin shit. Thats the vibes I'm getting right now.
| |
They never did get those licenses 😔
| |
Not accepting any blink slander in here, guys
| |
I worshiped blink as a small thing. It cums from a place of loathing.
| |
No blink loathing here, guys
| |
I was late to the Blink party. They’re a 3-3.5 at their best and .5 at worst. 👁️🗨️👁️🗨️
| |
Yeah agree with those ratings. dogs eating dogs could've been a 5 if Yelawolf hadn't had snuck his verse into Travis' pocket.
| |
Self-titled is a stone-cold classic mate, instant 5 outta 5
| |
you think every song on that record is perfect?
| |
I kinda do tbh, no skips for me
| |
Would you agree that Machine Gun Kelly's "Mainstream Sellout" is better than Blink's entire discography?
Also "I'm lost without you" is easily the worst thing Tom has ever written my boy.
| |
I agree with that, even though I really like the song, it's probably the weakest link. Having said that, when the "worst" song on the album is I'm Lost Without You, then you probably did something right.
