1. Homebrew- I really like this song. The music and the lyrics mix together so well. It’s a
really good one. It’s kind of one of their harder songs. You can also find this song on their
Greatest Hits ‘93- ‘03 album. 4.5/5

2. Lucky- This is one of my favorite songs on this album. When S.A. raps in the first
verse, he starts talkin’ about outer space and stuff, it’s kind of weird. S.A. does stand for
space alien though, so that would explain it. This song is a lot like Homebrew, same style
and all that. I love this song. 4.5/5

3. Nutsymptom- This is a good song, but more than half of it is filled with bass/guitar
solos. Not that that stuff is bad, but the other half is filled with raps that don’t really fit the
beat. You have to be a true 311 fan to truly appreciate this song, so if you’re not really the
biggest fan, you probably wouldn’t like this song very much. 3.5/5

4. 8:16 am- This is an awesome song. It’s kind of a mellow song. This song is a lot like
Do you Right, it’s just about kickin’ back and havin’ a good time. The guitar in this song
does a lot of really weird, but cool stuff. I like this song a lot. 4.5/5

5. Omaha Stylee- This song is about 311’s hometown, Omaha obviously. The whole time
it’s basically talkin’ about how much they love Omaha. This song is a lot like Lucky and
Homebrew. This is one of their classics. 4.5/5

6. Applied Science- This song contains Chad’s most famous drum solo. On the album it’s
only about 30 seconds, but when they play it live (which is at every single show) it’s about
5 minutes long. It’s amazing. Chad’s so good. Other than the drum solo, it’s a lot like
Nutsymptom, you’d have to be a big fan to really enjoy it. 4/5

7. Taiyed- This is one of my favorite songs on the album. There’s an amazing guitar solo
in it, and it isn’t forced, it sounds like it’s supposed to be there. Nick doesn’t sing during
this song, just S.A. Other than the solo, this song is a lot like My Stoney Baby. I love this
song. 5/5

8. Silver- I like this song. For a while, this was my favorite 311 song ever, but I’ve kind of
gotten out of that phase. This song is a lot like Hombrew, Omaha Stylee, and Lucky.
There are songs like those all over this album. Good song. 4/5.

9. Grassroots- This is a really unique song. There’s not many other songs like it. This song
reminds me a lot of some of the songs off of Music. Just a unique style that you don’t hear
too often. Another reason that this reminds me of Music is because they switch from hard
to soft a lot through the song. It’s a lot like a mixture between Visit and Freak Out. 4.5/5

10. Salsa- This song is really good. I’ve always wondered what this song is about. When
Nick sings, he’s singin’ about high school and then S.A. comes in and starts singin’ about
some hot chick. I don’t know. This song is another one like Homebrew and Lucky and
those ones. 4/5

11. Lose- This is a mellow song. There is a really cool guitar solo in this song. This song
isn’t really like many other 311 songs. It’s really good. It’s got a reggae beat through most
if it. I love 311’s reggae songs. 4.5/5

12. Six- This song also used to be my favorite 311 song of all time. It’s pretty unique. It’s
not really mellow, but it’s not really hard either. It’s somewhere in between. I was really
impressed with this song. 4.5/5

13. Offbeat Bareass- The lyrics in this song tell a story. Like one night they got pulled
over and the cop started checkin’ their car for drugs and guns and stuff. This is a good
song and always good for a laugh, especially when S.A. makes farting noises. You can’t
help but laugh at that. 4/5

14. 1, 2, 3- This is another slow song a lot like Lose. I used to not like this song very
much, but over time I grew to like it. Once again, you’d probably have to be a true 311
fan you really like this song. 3.5/5

This is one of 311’s best albums. It has some of their classics (Homebrew, Applied
Science, and Offbeat Bareass), but unless you really like 311, you might not like it too
much, but what do I know. I love this album, go pick it up if you like the stuff I’ve said
about it.

This is perhaps the greatest album 311 came out with. When this came out, no one sounded like them. They are great riffs, superb bass lines and a surprise drum solo in this album for none other than the immortal, Chad Sexton.

This album is the definite 311 album. Go listen to it now!

Excellent album, probably equally my favourite with Music.

Again, learned nothing from reading your 311 reviews man. Talk more about the actual nature of the music and the flow of the album, not just what you do and don't like about each song, its tiring to read and uninformative.
