This album is pure amazing, writen through one of the bands tough times, with Nikki's Heroin addiction getting worse, and Vince's drinking getting worse. Still Nikki being the legend he is managed to stay sober to write Wild Side, And Girls Girls Girls, he says himself they where the only good songs on the album but i think differently and heres what i think of the songs on the album.
Wild Side - A true Motley classic, a perfect image of the bands life at the time is given in the lyrics of this song. This is the first Motley song i listened to and i was captivated by the opening guitar riff and the sound of Vinces vocals on the song.
Girls, Girls, Girls - A awesome song, given the fact its just about the Crue's love for women and plenty of them its still a good song and the micks guitar riffs are great to listen to and the solo at the end rocks considering mick passed out at the end of it because he was drinking heavily at the time.
Dancing On Glass - I think this was the first song written about Nikki's Heroin addiction im not sure. The song is about when Motley where playing at the monsters of rock festival Nikki ran into a local dealer and over dosed on heroin, the dealer simply left him in the trash, Nikki was recovered by some fans later on. This was immortalised in the verse "Going way too fast, Goin to burn and crash, Valentines in london, Found me in the trash". An amazing song with a catchy chorus "I've been through hell, And im never going back, Dancing on glass".
Bad Boy Boogie - Definatley one of the weaker songs on the album, not something i've paid much attention to so i cant write much about it. One to be careful around.
Nona - Now given the fact this is the same 7 words over and over again, this is a truly good song, Vince sounds amazing singing it and the tune to it is one that you can get stuck in your head quite easily.
Five Years Dead - Again not one of the better songs, i think it was a cover im not sure.
All In The Name Of - Im currentley hooked on this song, and i'd definatley recomend it to any MC fans if you havent already heard it.
Something For Nothing - Put it simply Five Years Dead is better.
Your All I Need - I LOVE THIS SONG! its a kind of love song kill your lover song. Its hard to explain, you have to hear it to understand, definatley a classic.
Jailhouse Rock - Amazing, pure amazing, Micks guitar playing and Vince's vocals are truly legend. Elvis has nothing on these guys.
Hope you all have found this useful

I don't know if this will get approved, but you really need to put more work in. After the first three songs you seem to just give up, and try not to say things like 'awesome' so much. You're not trying to make up the reader's mind, just give them some bare info so they can find out themselves.
The album is meh though. The JR cover is fantastic but it's obviously a drugged-out album.
Digging: Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine | | | I am going to approve this, but I highly suggest you don't get lazy. Complete the review with consistent detail. There is no rush to submit something, take your time and do it well. Other than that, listen to SOP's advice.
Digging: Taylor Swift - Fearless

Morriss you like this album, don't you?
| | | I love the Crue, but I find this album a bit lacking compared to some of their others.
Anyway, needs a better review to do it justice.

I listened to this while walking home today. I'm not sure why I don't like it, I just don't.
| | | I have to agree with Nikki, the only good songs on the album are Wild Side and Girls Girls Girls. I also don't see how you can give the album a 5 when you say in the review that a bunch of songs suck. This Message Edited On 04.27.06

I'd never give a 5 rating to an album I had to skip tracks on.
| | | More than anything, Mick Mars tone just puts me off. The damn thing sounds like a toy.

Mick can't defend himself from these lies :upset:
| | | Lies? Ok...
| | | I think the Motley Crue's guitar tone is the main thing that I dig about the band (apart from the partying).
Its asskicking.
| | | I think it's weak. But all down to opinion naturally. Is his back still all fucked up? I heard it was good enough to tour again.

There's not really one Crüe guitar tone. The GGG-Feelgood tone is probably the most famous, but I prefer the zippier, punk tone of the first couple of albums and the mid-90s two-guitar thing.
| | | I used to hate the song, "Girls, girls, girls", but then one day I heard it one the radio, and I was actually into it. Weird, since for all this time I've never liked it.
| | | Far as I know its his entire skeletal structure or something. The poor dude has got some rare disease that solidifies the joints.
| | | Album Rating: 2.5
It's not his back, his bones are just fusing together. He had to have his hip replaced recently because he couldn't move his leg anymore. It's degenerative but he seems to be coping better with it these days, which is great. I was surprised how much he moved around when I saw them live; I was expecting a guy in a chair but he doesn't look too bad.
| | | Lovely. I'm racking my brain trying to remember the name of the disease, and I've come up with something like "Ankylosing Spondylitis". Is that it?
