quite possibly, but could also be a beautiful and life-affirming masterpiece about how much he loves his daughter

either way it'll make me cry

Is he supposed to release something soon?

His website says there will be a new Mount Eerie album soon, even though he said earlier this year that he wasn't making any music ever since Genevieve was diagnosed over a year ago

i guess an album must have just flowed out of him after her passing

It's a little hidden but like halfway down there's a new update that says: "there will be a new Mount Eerie album"

In fiscal year nineteen eighty six to eighty seven
Local, state and federal governments spent
A combined total of sixty point six million dollars on law enforcement
Federal law enforcement expenditures ranked last in absolute dollars
And accounted for only six percent of all federal spending
By way of comparison, the federal government spent twenty-four million more on space exploration
And forty-three times more on national defense and international relations than the law enforcement.

Late last year, his wife was diagnosed with cancer, and she had also just given birth to their daughter.

Things worsened and Phil set up a gofundme campaign to help pay the medical expenses, but only a week later his wife died.

Phil's now a single father and he said he wasn't making any music and was just trying to focus on getting by and raising his daughter.

would love a new Mount Eerie album soon but have no problems waiting and hope he doesn't rush anything, though he's always been prolific releasing nothing short of outstanding albums

He is just so ballsy. I remember jamming this and Clear Moon together a lot when I was delivering pizzas back in the day. This album is as vast and experimental as one can get while still retaining SO much humanity. What he does is an amazing feat, and I'm glad that he's certainly not for everyone. Such cathartic, epic music.

@ Lord (e) - may she R.I.P. - so damn sad =(. A big part of the reason I avoided A Crow Looked At Me for so long. I just wasn't in a mental place to be able to handle such a devastatingly sad album.
