When you're a teenager, everything rules
When you're an adult everything sucks.

Oh fti, the answer to why people don't like the music is obvious.

Proud to say I brought the average down from a 2.8 to a 2.7. Holy cow this album is flaming hot trash.

Like fr it's just Chad Kroeger doin' his usual Chad Kroeger thing over djenty nu-metal. It's laughably bad. Like I actually laughed out loud listening to this. There's a song called "The Betrayal- Act III" and it's BEFORE "The Betrayal- Act I". And you'd better believe "The Betrayal- Act II" is nowhere to be found.

Except it isn't though, I don't believe you listened to this beyond the title track single.

Literally only one track has even a bit of djent influence and it's the title track, it's more proggy influenced than anything else.
|
| |
Is the track actually just Veil of Maya's Unbreakable for a solid 3 minutes and 45 seconds?

@Steak: Check this track, it's one of the best, if not the best on this album. If you don't dig this, you probably won't dig the album - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ9FciUx6gs

Pretty decent, better than I expected it to be but I probably won't check the rest of the album
Never was a fan of them, I always leaned more towards bands like Muse, Three Days Grace and Avenged Sevenfold when I was younger and never got into Nickelback

See, Avenged Sevenfold was pretty much my favorite band of all time until Black Veil Brides came into the picture (it's still one of my favorite bands though, and was easily my biggest gateway band into music). Three Days Grace rules as well, and I grew up on a fair amount of Nickelback so I never really developed the hate boner that a lot of people did for them. I actually really don't care for Muse though, most songs by them I found to be really annoying, preachy, and melodramatic.

I never got the hate boner for them either, I just thought they were a very average band throughout their entire career
Also peep this Muse track fam it's lit

Matt Bellamy is actually insane

That wasn't too bad, definitely better than most of the Muse songs I've ever heard. I really like the distorted filter over the guitarwork.
|
| |
You'd probably like their earlier work more so than their later work, like Origin of Symmetry and Absolution, maybe a little bit of Black Holes & Revelations and/or The Resistance

This album didn't sell as well as the band's previous material, which is a shame because it's their second best album behind All The Right Reasons.
