For their next record I really hope they stick with whoever mixed this record and dont go back to the guy who did brood. It sounds very cavey and echoy maybe ill just Aeon instead

Guess I better. Been scrolling through my collection all day looking at albums I rated highly but know very little about. Guess that's the problem with over-consumption of new music.

New single is out. If I remember this was an imstrumental band and the new vocalist is gonna is probably gonna be divisive.

Nope wrong band. I'm not even sure who I'm remembering

I’ve been working my way backwards with this band, after really enjoying this album. The one thing which really stuck out to me on initial listens was the quality of the drumming; tasteful, heavy fills all over the place and he effortlessly moves from slower sections to blast beats and D-beat. I think I may have avoided them initially because I thought they’d be just another post metal clone, but they’re way more than that. I hear black metal, hardcore, psychedelic, and post rock/metal with some occasional folk and it’s all deliberately composed, nothing feels out place. They also release music on anti fascist labels, which is a nice bonus.

getting incredibly stoked for the new album. Bodies as Driftwood really grew on me and Existence of Awe is immediately impressive

Really nice review, keep forgetting to thoroughly check this band. The two records I heard were awesome enough to buy a t-shirt lol

Suffocating is my fav but this isn't far behind. The others are all great too. Their album from last year is a straight ripper.
