This is really great with a lot of emotional moments but it's no LitD, that one's clearly their best. This has a few of their best songs though, and it gives Slave Ambient a run for its money.

There's nothing on here better than An Ocean in Between the Waves

“Thinking of a Place” would like to talk.

LitD is definitely better overall but this one makes me feel more. LitD has better grooves and more interesting arrangements and is more consistent and still very emotional so it gets the 5/5 nod over this.

it's quite bewildering to release a 66 min album in the exact same style as the previous

Yeah, it’s not like bands tend to write music that sounds like the music they’ve written before...

Jokes aside though this actually has a pretty distinct vibe from LitD imo, it’s a bit more song-y and less psychedelic/spacey and jammy than their previous stuff.

I actually prefer this, LitD still had to grow on me but the immediacy of this just works so well

Most of my love of this is based on the singles; the deep cuts are great too (some amazing) but don’t stand out quite as much.

I agree, there's something about that song that hits me very hard.

Nothing To Find to the end is a bloody staggering run. I've always preferred Lost In The Dream but I have more perfect memories to pull on associated with that one.

Been trying to figure out out if I prefer Disappearing or Lost in the Dream, but I guess it doesn't matter. There's a solid seven or eight songs across both albums that are my favourites when they're playing.
