I couldn't disagree more. And it's not that I listen to Children of Bodom more than In Flames, it's just that I find their music better. In Flames has no problem with diversity, but their style does get old after a bit. Hey, to each their own. both great bands

Come Clarity is better than most people say (I kind of like it from what I have heard) but Soundtrack to Your Escape did suck with the exception of a couple of songs. Are You Dead Yet is very average, in my opinion. This Message Edited On 02.05.07

Wow, CoB albums have the most controversy ever. A lot of people have FTR as their favorite, many have this, many have HCDR, a lot have SW, and still a lot have AYDY. Apparently there is no best album. Besides they are all good and THEY ARE VERY DIFFERENT. No songs are "embarassingly the same." no way.

This "discussion" is pointless. Children of Bodom is better than In Flames. It's one of the laws of physics. No In Flames album could come remotely close to the greatness of the COB discography. I'll take heavy, shred-heavy power metal over mediocre gothenburg anyday.

LEt's just settle at their both great bands, I just happen to like whoracle a little more than hatebreeder. That's the only album of theirs i like more than hatebreeder though.
Children of bodom is definately my favorite band currently, probably with wintersun a close second (even though they only have one album) and then soilwork and in flames tied for third.
And hell, everybody has different opinions.

I just listened to this again and loved it even more thn before for some odd reason....
I may edit the reviews for Black Widow and Wrath Within up a bit. Looking back at this review, annd looking at my two newest reviews, I realize that review really sucks 0_o.
btw, I definately like this more than whoracle now, I listened to them both today and decided that. I lowered my rating for whoracle to 4.5, though I raised the one for colony to 5, because I freaking love it for some reason now, Ill probably review that album next.

I take back everything I said about Black Widow. I also love the bass break and what comes right after it is awesome. Its a very unique song, probably the most "out there" on the album.

Yay, people are loving Black Widow as much as I do. It definitely is the most under-appreciated song, especially for how awesome of a song it is. Better than the bass break is the awesome keyboard part and classical sounding guitar part too.

Warheart, Black Widow, Children of Bodom and the title track are the best here. Album owns. AYDY? remains as my favorite though. But this is damn close.
