Got this album for Christmas in 2007 when I was 14 because I liked Our Velocity. I also got Meteora by Linkin Park and Infinity on High by Fall Out Boy. I couldn’t get into this so much at the time as much as I tried, probably because it lacked the angst that Linkin Park and Fall Out Boy did. So for years, I just decided it wasn’t my thing and moved on with my life.

Decided to listen again out of curiosity yesterday, and while I can see why I disliked this album in my teens as the angsty emo kid I was at that age, as a slightly more open minded 30 year old I actually got really into this album. I’ve long since moved on from both Fall Out Boy and Linkin Park, but this makes a change of pace from the mix of Hardcore, Midwest Emo, Screamo/Skramz, and 90's/2000's Post Hardcore that I usually listen to and am contemplating going to see them live in October.

It has a couple of meh tracks but the standouts are some great stuff as someone who doesn’t usually listen to this kind of thing. I had Books from Boxes in my head all morning today.
