I love it , extremely good IMO.
This is not pure black_metal & it's why i like it.

this album is pretty worth/use -less, especially compared to Emperor's better works.

Yeah this cant compare to In The Nightside Eclipse or Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk at all. But i agree with you its still good.

This album is painfully boring. Curse You All Men was pretty good, but the rest make me want to stab my ears. Well, it's not that bad. It's just REALLY boring.

Yeah, this was decent.

The endless guitar onslaught on this has its pros and cons but ultimately it is probably the lesser Emperor album. A lot of the time the drums are buried by the wall of sound so it sounds like there are only guitars and vocals.

Yeah this is probably the "worst" Emperor album, but it's still awesome.

Yes, it's solid (3.5-4). The other ones are better though, although some of the clean vocals are pretty awesome on this.

Not quite as immediately intense and engaging as the band's first two albums were, but the musicianship here remains utterly solid and mezmerizing the more you listen. Personal highlights for me would be "Curse You all Men!" and especially the outro to "Of Blindness and subsequent Seers".
