Great album and good review!
This was the second PJ album i picked up (the first was Vs.)
and I must say this album is amazing, and its even better considering its a debut.
Does anyone know what happened to the Lost Dogs review?

This album is definately an instant classic in the world of rock music. Ive always been a fan of pearl jam and with an allstar cast of "Black", "Jeremy", and "Alive", this album gets the 5/5

this was the album that inspired me more than any other album ive ever listened to, its easily one of the greatest albums ever
they are much better than the unbeleivably overrated nirvana

One of the best albums I have ever herad, its perfection. If I could give this album more than a 5/5, I would...only a few albums are like this for me, so its huge

i thought even flow were about eddie being homeless?
''rests his head on a pillow made of concrete'' clearly thats about sleeping on the street.

I love this CD, and I did not know that little tid bit about Eddies dad, that's horrible. My favorite song on this CD is Garden, can't get enought of that song, it amazes me.

this album really changed my life. "Alive", "Black", and "Jeremy" is all you need to make a classic, but they decided to go a full album on this'un. honestly, this is one of the albums that made the 90's so great. The title 'Ten' seems appropriate because i give this a 10/10.

The best song on here is Deep.

I still maintain that "Black" is their best song. The ending lines:
"I know someday you'll have a beautiful life
I know you'll be the star
On somebody else's sky
But why, why can't it be mine?"
are the best lyrics Eddie has ever written. Not to mention the delivery.
Normally the song is even better live..
The four songs before "Black" are awesome as well. Eddie Vedder is easily one of the best singers in rock.

decent review. I find this album great, but i'm not really into the whole grunge scene (yeah, i know it's over)

Classic in every sense of the world if I say so myself. Its a great album that represents a genre but its solid all the way through (unlike Nevermind)
Rock on!

1. it's grunge, u dumbass pumpkins. 2. it's a damn good album, but the second half is ok at best.

I'm not a huge fan of Pearl Jam, but the solo on Alive is the shit.

Reviewing this eh?
This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Its just amazing. The guitar, eddies vocals, its all good.

Actually, I'm not liking this quite as much as most people seem to. So far, my rating is 3.5, I've only listened to half the album, though.

Maybe listen to the album more than half to get an idea of the album, rating and understanding.
Based on mass influence and popularity ect. this is no doubt a classic, but PJ has better albums in my opinion overall. This the first album I got by them and loved it but I listen to it the least out of all their albums. And 'Alive' is one of their finest songs.

Obviously, I'm going to listen to more than half of the album. I was merely stating that so far I'd only listened to half and so far it was about a 3.5, I didn't say that was going to be my final rating, or anything.

I certainly don't like this album as much as I used too, but thats what happens with all things. I find this to be their best but really all of their albums are really good.
What one do you like best Tom? Vs? Yield?
