What bass on AJFA?
|
| |
Exactly. I still like AJFA anyway, the production doesn't bother me (although to think how much better it could have been is frustrating, they should re-record it but with the old vocal tracks because Hetfield would mess it up now).

It's my favorite record of theirs. The tech on it is great.
|
| |
The tech on Linkin Park albums is great too, it doesn't make it good music.

The technical ability was what I meant.

this whole "lets bash metallica now that they've sold out" thing is getting old. this is a great album and we all know it.

Although I would say between the classic stomp along tracks on this album there is a blateunt amount of over-produced filler tracks. However, Sad but True, Don't tread on me and The god that failed make this album awesome.

Album gets incredibly old after a while. Only really redeems itself with a couple of tracks, namely Nothing Else Matters and The Struggle Within.
|
| |
I really like Enter Sandman
Good review though.

T2 was the bright spot in movies in 1991? Why again did the Nineties suck?
|
| |
Oh yeah good review, not horribly biased, which is more than what a lot of Metallica reviews can say.
|
| |
T2 in my opinion was not very good. The 90s were pretty good, I guess. As much as I detest Kurt Cobain (Nirvana's OK, though), post grunge was pretty good and has yielded some awesome bands like, uh... I'll come up with one eventually. Anyway, the Black Album wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't good either. Anybody who thinks this is a great album, or even worse, better than their old stuff, is clearly under the influence of some sort of drug that nullifies all functioning brain connections.

Doens't matter what the fans say...this is my favorite Metallica album and it is a true classic. The Unforgiven is incredible.
Nice review though you defended your points well.

thesystemisdown,
Excellent review and I fully agree with your rating. Seriously, this album is weak from beginning to end.
Also, James Cameron was not trying to market T2 towards kids by saying "Dont Kill People" (he would have also had to take out all of the intense violence!). He was simply showing some morality in a world that was about to be destroyed. Plus, it was ironic that a killing machine like the terminator could feel this way.
|
| |
The Terminator couldn't feel that way, and he didn't. He only did it because Bitch-Face McCrywhiner, aka John Connors, ordered him to stop killing people. The so-called bond between he and John never showed any warmth or affection on his part. The "morality" in a world about to be destroyed? How about defeating the people trying to destroy the world? I call that morality. Also, making Arnold the good terminator was stupid, even if he was a reprogrammed model or whatever. They should have had him in the Robert Patrick role, and have the humans with absolutely no protection from anybody in the future at all. That would have been great, or at least better than the dorky proceedings that everybody seems intent on giving "classic" status.

lol, if you want to be "tru" Metallica fans be my guest. But keep in mind at they cleaned up so many problems that plagued their earlier albums (production, vocals, bass) with this album without losing alot of their edge.

Agreed. It's one of the better non-hit songs, if not the best. This Message Edited On 08.07.07
