I used to be like that with SL, MAYH and Morningrise. However, MAYH prevailed. That is a pure masterpiece. SL a close second, and Morningrise a close third. They're miles ahead of the rest of the albums. That's not to say anything bad about Opeth, I think all their releases are fabulous, but I'm comparing them to each other.

Your attempts at humor are about as clever as tribestos' reviews.

At first Still Life was my classic Opeth album for along time until Blackwater Park continued to grow on me. Now to me atleast, its way ahead of it mostly because of replay values. Another reason is because Blackwater doesnt have a weak track while I dont see "Moonlapse , or Serenty Painted" to be on the same level as "Godhead or even The Moor". Ghost Reveries was to be my favorite but is just a cunt hair below because of Opeth worst song Atonement. But hey all Opeth albums are metal masterpieces in their own right.

This album is as good as SL, these two trade back and forth in my favorite opeth albums.

1. Who are you again?

2. Refer to my 2nd post in this review thread.

3. You annoy me about as much as the overpraise this band gets.

-So is your attempt at serious
-So is thrash metal's attempt at music

I'm not a fanboy of this band, but I can say in all honesty that they pour alot into their music and you're probably just too dumb/have too short of an attention span to get it. You don't have to like it, though. This Message Edited On 01.17.08

lol all you do is revert back to insulting a genre that I enjoy. How old are you? 13?

And I don't like this because it's bloated. They try and cram so much shit into one song and it doesn't flow well. This Message Edited On 01.17.08

Due in part to your lack of attention span. But yeah, sometimes their songs drag, especially on Ghost Reveries.

But srsly, not meaning to insult you or anything (wait no), modern thrash's only real merit is that it's "badass" and most of the time it's all exactly the same save crossover and some death/thrash.

This discussion doesn't belong here though, so I'm gonna shut my mouth now.

You're an idiot if you think Warbringer, Fueled by Fire, or AoB sound like crossover or death/thrash.

And I didn't say their songs drag on, did? I said they try and cram too much shit into one track. Random placed accoustic parts that all of a sudden become awkward heavy parts. It's like they have ADD and can't focus on one aspect well enough to make an effect. This Message Edited On 01.17.08

When did I say that?
And I didn't say their songs drag on, did? I said they try and cram too much **** into one track. Random placed accoustic parts that all of a sudden become awkward heavy parts. It's like they have ADD and can't focus on one aspect long enough to make an effect.
because they aren't trying to make the effect you're looking for. You don't have to like it, just stop being an idiot about it.

Warbringer is modern thrash. Then I realized you said "most of the time" so I went ahead and added a few other bands to that list.

Bottom line is Blopeth is a bloated, overpraised band that this site seems to masturbate to excessively and would get down on hands and knees for any day of the week. Their constant praise is annoying and un-needed, like this review. This Message Edited On 01.17.08

And Warbringer is exactly the same as the rest of the modern thrash movement SAVE crossover and death/thrash.

Their constant praise is annoying and un-needed, like this review.
I do agree with the first part to an extent, and yeah this review was completely unnecessary. This Message Edited On 01.17.08
