I haven't made my mind up about a rating, but I wasn't too impressed. The second ten minutes sounds like the first ten minutes repeated. I've only had one listen though.

This really blew me away, on my first listen I was on the verge of drifting off to sleep during the ambient opening (not because it was boring but because I was tired) and then the first sludge riff came in, I was wide awake after that.

Fucking fantastic song.

1. They need an audio engineer.
2. They need a producer.

Then this might become into something interesting.

Um... I'm pretty sure those resources weren't at their disposal. I mean the production is pretty good I think, especially for an indepedent band.

I know, but they would benefit from it when they make their first LP.

I cannot help but giggle whenever the drums go "tong". It sounds so funny. Their transitions are fabulous, however.

We recorded this in one day for free on a favour from a mate so it's not perfect lulz. Next recording i'm gonna be super anal about the drum sound, i really want it to sound like the guy on low level owl by the appleseed cast except crushingly heavy.

Actually, my problem with the sound quality is mainly the guitars. Guitar distortion is eating the bass and the bass drums. Also, try controlling peaking as much as you can, if possible, avoid it completely.

Please take this as constructive criticism.

That was an interesting listen. At first I felt like I was forcing myself to listen to it, but after awhile it became strangely hypnotizing. Drummer is definitely the driving factor of the band, no doubt. It wouldn't be the same without his talent pushing them forward all throughout the song. I actually rather enjoyed the production, the drums sounded really good...I do agree on the guitar though, that seemed to be the main problem production wise. There was also a bit at the end where this guitar part drowned everything out...maybe around the 16 minute mark I think.

All in all it was interesting, and enthralling. I think it's the kind of thing you gotta listen to more than once though...so I'm gonna wait to rate it for now. Overall I enjoyed it though.

Yeah. I have listened to it a few times now. Can't wait to see what they put out in the future. Kind of reminds me of Pelican.

Yeah, I was not sure if they were aiming for Pelican; kind of sounded like it. Guess it makes sense Pelican's an influence, then.
