"Already Over Part 2" was great, but I think it was the second best song on the album. "Lost" has so much emotion in it and the build up at the end was great. The biggest flaw from this band would have to be the lyrics. A lot of the lyrics and the song titles are generic and have been used many times before. I do, however, like the instrumentation and I like the vocals. Hopefully in the near future they will come up with better lyrics. I thought it was a pretty good debut for this band.

It was an awesome debut for this kind of band. I like the huge use of orchestral sounding sections, and the overall sound and vibe of the music, and the vocalist is good too. They just need to work on a little more originality and better lyrics.

good review, except that i think you may have overthought it a bit. i don't think the guys think they're geniuses or something, they just wanted an "epic" feeling rock album. and to me, though it is a bit generic, they totally succeeded. for a typical radio rock style band, they're a cut above the normal fare.
i would definitely reccomend Lost and Let Go over your recommended tracks, though.

Good review.

But for your "hook" for the review, cut the "Throughout history." It's cliched.

Blood, heat, love, passion, the heart, hatred --- the color red has been used for many things.

That's a much stronger hook.

I mostly agree with this review. The first 2 recommended tracks are my favorites.

I wish we could have these kind of generic bands in our country. It's like my generation didn't learn a fucking thing from mtv and much music at the end of the 90's.

Hating on this album would be like hating on all the memories I had tied to it when it first came out. And a lot of them were pretty good

Still my favorite Red after all these years, even though Innocence & Instinct comes pretty close. Maybe the new album will revive the love I used to have for this band.

It's a shame they kinda waste their talent on corny Christian themes.

This used to be my absolute favorite band. They very much paved the way for me to get into heavier music. Love these guys
