For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) is one of my favorite AC/DC songs, otherwise, the album is not very good

Brian Johnson isn't a patch on Bon. Now, I like AC/DC with Brian, but no-one could ever replace Bon, he was a one-of-a-kind frontman. I like this album a lot, actually. This, Back In Black and the Razor's edge are Brian's Best efforts with Acca Dacca. Whoever reviewed this, should consider this album a masterpiece compared to efforts like Fly On Th Wall or Flick Of The Switch.

Aeaon, I agree its not quite what Bon was, but lets not forget, he's dead, and AC/DC isnt a band to be stopped by mortality. DownPaymentBlues, you rule. AV8RS, you have your head up your ass. You too, Eliminator Jr. Powerage ruled.

What the heck. This is a great album! My friend just bought it and we listened to the whole thing twice...it's awesome!! I love I Put The Finger On You, COD, & SPellbound the most...they're all great songs though.

I know it didn't live up to it's hype being after two AWESOME previous albums but oh well.

It not really a bad album per se, it's just too...AC/DC-ish.

Let's Get it Up? Inject the Venom? I Put the Finger on You? Jesus, what the hell happened to subtle phallic references?

lol well what else do you expect? Metallica-ish? Of course it sounds too AC/DC-ish lol. That's how most people like them...it's their own kind of rock 'n roll.

Most of the band that I find amazing have the capacity to grow, change, and experiment. At least a little bit.

AC/DC is the only major band that I know of that can change their frontman and yet sound the same. But hey, what does John Paul know? This Message Edited On 08.06.06

Nah it's cool.

Well...they did somewhat change after getting brian...he gave the band more of a "metal" sound but that's it...not a huge change it terms of the way they played their instruments.

They did experiment lots after BIB if you haven't noticed like Razors Edge for example...that was more heavy sounding and more distortion in their guitars but didn't really work for them...the album that I think sounds closest to BIB is Stiff Upper Lip...w/e though i guess it's more of an opinion matter. One thing I really like about them though is, they tried not to adapt to the era..which is why they've always sounded like...AC/DC. They stuck to their own stuff and kept up through the hard times. This Message Edited On 12.06.06

seriously, Inject the Venom, and Lets Get It Up, are so catchy.
I think I like them more than anything on Back in Black.

Given the Dog a Bone??? Come on. Theres no hook in the song.

The stuff on FTATR is just cool.

I think the reviewer is quite right. It's a surprisingly weak album with many week songs. All right, if we put the abum's songs in 3 categories (good, half weak, really weak), even the half-weak Put the finger on you is bad. Songs like Snowballed or Night of the long knives are terribly non-catchy. When I heard them for the first time, I had my eyes wide open, and asked "HEY! Why didn't these guys rest some instead of putting out such a weak production?"

All the songs here are great! Almost as good as BIB imo, but whatever. I like it. Maybe I should review it.....

The only song memorable is for those about to rock. The rest of the album lacks of rock spirit, at the most, average or poor in some songs.

The best AC/DC album with Brian Johnson. Spellbound, Let's Get It Up, For Those About To Rock, Inject

The Venom, Evil Walks and Snowballed, rule hard.

Nah, Back in Black is much better than this one. I think I even prefer Stiff Upper Lip compared to this one.
