okay, but he wasn't an important enough facet of their sound to warrant a place in an overall summary of the album.
You're making this a bigger deal than it really is. The fact of the matter is TSOAF are without Craig Owens, and the record happens to be a lot better overall, especially vocally. I'd say that's pretty important to note. I'm done arguing, I stick by my summary and the impact he had on both records

Craig Owens wasn't on the first record unless I'm sadly mistaken...

I'm confused then...did he have an impact on that record by not being on it?

He was on Lover, The Lord Has Left Us

I knew that, but you said the impact he had on both records and that kind of threw me a little bit. I'm with you on that one though he really didn't belong there at all.

He had an impact on Lover, The Lord Has Left Us and his absence on The Ocean and the Sun.

how does lack of craig owens make the other vocalists better

i'm just trying to see why you're singling out craig owens as this huge problem other than the fact you don't like chiodos or something
I never said he made the other vocalist better. My point is he isn't a good vocalist, therefore making Lover, the Lord... worse vocally than The Ocean and the Sun (regardless of how much he was on it, it was enough to notice).

I really didn't see this as a hard concept to grasp. This Message Edited On 09.08.08

I really enjoied your review so far out of all of them.

Well written and to the point.

I understand also about the Craig Owens thing, but honestly he was on two filler tracks and one full track(Un'Aria,Un'Aria Ancora, and Horses In the Sky).

He has an alright range for someone who clearly has no real vocal training, but lack in orignality behind his "Original" voice.

Chiodos is a generic band, but that doens't mean their bad people just have different tastes and thoughts.

I listen to all the bands that are huge in worship on this site, but I also love to listen to generic music(Ex. Chiodos, A Static Lullaby, new Against Me!, Coheed and Cambria, Circa Survive) since all this elite stuff makes my head spin too fast some times lol.

Becides that back to the point, great reivew and great album.

Calling Coheed generic is pretty blasphemous...

As much as I love this band, they really need to stay away from producing. Far away.

Coheed is generic, they have taken sounds from other bands in the scene and from oldies and make an alright sound out of it.

Nothing really grand, or at least anymore with their albums.

So I don't see why it's so blasphemous to call C&C that.
