SunnO))) playing in a norwegian cathedral? I'm not surprised, thats the sort of excellent original thing they would do! Perhaps this is worth getting as a live album fro the sheer 'eeriness' that probably shrouds the whole record!

The description here makes it out to sound more like dark ambient than drone metal so yeah. there's still drone metal but it's not as heavy/repetitive

all the vids of them on youtube are kind of terrible. i saw one where they were playing moog synths which was pretty cool but most sound like the cameras are exploding.

This might be my new favorite Sunn album, its fucking excellent. The packaging on this is really nice too. Thursday the 15th I will be seeing sunn in a church, not a cathedral but it should be awesome nonetheless
