Dustin probably wanted to put a 45-minute guitar solo in O Holy Night, but he took it out, probably because he knew he is too much of a wannabe artsy fartsy "music"-maker to do that

I love Dustin Kenrue's voice, but I don't know if this is the kind of album I could really get into, even around the holidays. I'll give this a fair listen though all the same I suppose.

I'm really afraid to listen to the cover of Fairytale of New York.

edit: decided to give in and listen to it, wish I didn't cause he nearly ruined it for me, still haven't heard anything he's done solo that I likedThis Message Edited On 11.19.08
yeah what's the problem here
I think it's pretty dumb to review an album so shortly after you've downloaded it, you obviously need much more time to let it sink in and analyze the different elements about that age quickly or vice versa.

I find that it's not so much how many listens an album is given, but how many different settings it's listened to. I pretty much will always listen to an album on headphones, on the car stereo and on my home stereo before reviewing it. I don't care what anyone says, albums can sound completely different from headphones to stereo speakers... Without listening to both, you cannot get a proper indication of the music.
you know you always think that, but most people only listen to an album 2-3 times, which means a review based on that amount of listening may actually characterize the album better for most people than one done under extreme scrutiny.
most people only listen to an album 2-3 times? what the hell are you talking about?

he definitely didn't mean that's usually the number of times people listen to an album before reviewing it!
