Really? (about the Decibel). I should go pick it up then, that's the only metal mag that I actually enjoy, they normally have a good coverage of doom as well.

Yeah. Generally I like to stick to Terrorizer because how vast it is and all of the scenes they cover in each issue. + a free CD but it's about double the price of Decibel. Decibel however brought out my next review which should be out some time today when I can finish the closure. So thanks to that.

Album Rating: 3.0
This is a great album, I'll rate this a 3.5 once this fucking site get's its act together and lets me rate newly added albums.

LOOK AT ME AND SEE THAT I AM DYING
IS THIS MY FUNERALLLLL
|
| |
Bumping this shit.
Check this out you idiots, it's fucking good.
|
| |
I checked it finally! I didn't even know you did this review... how's I miss it?
|
| |
Unfortunately a lot of mine have faded into obscurity, much like the albums themselves
|
| |
If I see your name attached to it I will generally read it, but you've been reviewing a lot of obscure stuff (and Underoath) that I've never even heard of before.
|
| |
I try to keep it balanced, but if I find something obscure that's really good, and I'm in the mood for writing, I'll pop out a review so that others can experience it too. I can't be bothered keeping up with new releases when there isn't any real benefit in doing so.
|
| |
Well, I add them to my list if they sound interesting but it might be weeks before I finally get around to hearing them and posting a comment. I never bothered with new releases either until I sort of had to.
|
| |
album is so underrated
|
| |
Well, I mean it's old and looks low budget and it's definitely not a band most people have heard of. Honestly, to me, I figured this was going to be kind of crap.
|
| |
yeah, but I reviewed it!
|
| |
Exactly, that's the only reason I followed through on checking this out instead of blowing it off.
|
| |
haha, awesome. by the wya, which newer incantation album was it the one you liked better than diabolical conquest?
|
| |
Primordial Domination. I like the sound and riffs more.
|
| |
Oh okay. I haven't actually heard any of their albums after Diabolical Conquest (the only other ones being Onward to Golgotha and Mortal Throne of Nazarene, both of which I love too). They're basically my favourite death metal band at the moment so I'll be eventually hearing all of their albums. How does Primordial Domination differ from Diabolical Conquest?
|
| |
The production is a little more slick (which you know gets me every time), and the songs are a little less chaotic. I think the doom influence kind of shines through more.
|
| |
Mm sounds good. I don't doubt that I will like it anyway.
|
| |
Yeah, it's not too far away from Diabolical Conquest. My favorite track on Primordial Conquest is "Dissolute Rule". It's very doom-oriented (but still brutal and fast).
