I always use too many commas, its really a pet worry of mine. I think its because I read it back to myself, and put a comma whenever I pause. I'll look over the review and see if I can edit a few out.

Very very brave review Ross. Good on you for giving it a go though as I had been waiting for another opinion on this album. The reason for that was because I checked out one of the songs (I think it was 'The Unknown Guest') on one of the staff features & I was very impressed. It actually surprised me how much I liked it and I will eventually check this album out. Strangely, you comparing it to alt-rock, post-hardcore, etc... makes me want to check it out even more!
As for the review itself, it is tough to judge. You were very careful, but I think that is understandable in the circumstances. Overall, I think it is a solid lay-person review as such, so well done.

I'm more inclined to congratulate this review for saying what had to be said. It's not the aural representation of air or whatever. It's a technically proficient album that is well executed. Nothing more.

Thanks Davey, yeah the review isn't as strong as I first thought it was, but maybe I will re-edit it again tomorrow when I am more awake, in order to iron out the creases.
Electric City: Fair enough point that, I may take note when I re-edit as stated above.
And Kane, yeah well it worked, I have a better understanding of the semi colon now, and I have to say that two-gallants look interesting, I may check them out.
