I was not expecting this. I pressed play, and now I'm on my second play through. Crimson, you are my hero.

pretty tight... going to see them here next week. too bad they need another guitar player... they only record with 1 guy on 2 tracks. live show is supposedly a bit odd.

*note from the band (sorta): the record had two guitar players, but one of the two left after the album came out. We continue to play live with only one, but it is pretty weird, not gonna lie... - steve.h

This band was known as "Everest" before Iron Thrones, and even before that they were known as "Nehemiah". Of course there was subtle lineup changes, but they still ket their amazing sound and kept impressing me with every release. "Visions of Light" is such an amazing and enjoyable record and is in my top favs, but I do reccomend everyone to check out the albums they released under the band names "Nehemiah" and "Everest".

I'd probably have a hard time deciphering the two

This guy sounds a lot more controlled to me.

Either that, or he's not as loud in the mix compared to Rogers.

found this by googling "Bandcamp name your price no minimum" after someone just had this on their list. Probably my second favorite free album ever, right behind Three Cheers for Disappointment.

Heart of the Light's opening sounds so opeth-esqe that it isn't even funny.

Couldn't stop making the Opeth comparisons when i first listened to this, but i think there's enough distinction in their sound to separate the two bands. Very good stuff in this album.

If these guys did more clean guitar stuff or even just jazzy stuff, they'd be even beastier.
