completely agreed. The clean vocals killed what could have been the only great song on the album. This Message Edited On 02.18.09

I cant help but feel everytime I try to spin this, it feels generic. Go back to Palace days and make me a fan again. This tame shit is for the kids who like metal to be cool.
Kid: Brah! I just got the new Lamb of God cd!
other kid: No shit brah! Theyse soooo heavy!
Kid: Yeah I know man, who the fuck is Megadeth anyway? And Opeth? Thats a weird name.

So like, this is dogshit.

..and to add insult to injury, the new Sep album (yeah, sepultura, yup) totally owns this in terms of latest releases. And I will argue anybody that cracks on the latter statement.

I haven't even heard this yet and I know there's no way this could be worse than that album.
Argue me...

No way. After listening closely to it after being a jerk about it cus its pretty much not Sepultura, theres some great stuff on it. The new drummer is quite good and Andreas sounds the best hes been in a while. I dunno man, I felt some hunger in Seps album that I didnt feel in Wrath. They went Auto-Pilot on this one. I was sticking up for A-Lex in the comments when the review came out.

Review isn't bad, I'll vote. The album, however, is kind of weak
The first time or two I listened to Wrath, it was great. Then I heavily lost interest with the exception of three or four songs. Such a disappointment, I expected better from Lamb. Oh well, at least AtPB, AotW, and Sacrament have been great to me.This Message Edited On 02.19.09

I like this album, its their fastest to date, and is pretty heavy. But there's something missing. I get that they wanted to get away from the atmospheric tones of Sacrament, but it seems like in striving to not make the same album again, they lost some of their identity. Oh also, I don't know what's up with all the hating on Randy's vocals... I think they're the best they've ever been personally, but to each their own.

Lovely review and a kick-ass album! They're obviously riding the wave of Sacrament and AOTW, but hell.. It works for me and I am sure it does for many others too!
I would recomment:
- Grace
- Reclamation
- Set To Fail
- Contractor

Grace is easily the best here and even that's boring

A-Lex was god fucking awful. This can't be any worse. That would be damn near fucking impossible. A-Lex wasn't even a let-down, we all knew it would suck.
Lol @ noisepatrol. You're obviously biased, you had your mind made up before listening to the album (assuming you actually listened to the full album). Your opinion is as valid as that of the tard that reviewed three Machine Head albums and gave them all perfect scores.

I just gave this a listen. I was a big fan of Lamb Of God's work on Sacrament and Ashes Of the Wake because it was the kind of heavy music you could go crazy at a concert to, but at the same time it was also technically amusing. This is mediocre at best and is boring and not nearly as technical as their previous releases. It is very unfortunate that the music and industry is coming to this.

3.5. May change it to a 4 after a few more listens. Overall it's a good album, but it's not as good as Ashes. Contractor, Set To Fail, Grace, and Reclamation are the best songs.
