I finally got around to listening to this after a buddy of mine revealed to me that he did a bunch of shows with Reflux back in the day. Ash's vocals are a bit weak, but other than that...damn...

What makes this so good is the ever-so-slighty imperfect technicality from the guitar at some points (those sections that hint at AAL material). I even like it better than the absolutely perfectly executed sweeps in AAL records.
Kinda reminds me of The Fall of Troy s/t, which is slightly sloppy but better than the rerecorded guitar lines in Doppelganger.
