this album is really good and i think the review is hilarious, very well written but the kurt cobain reference? not even close my friend haha it sounded as though it may have been said with tounge-in-cheek but nonetheless i must, for the sake of cobain's ever-present spirit, call you out on that one but overall good review and great album

Except for Brand New's "Daisy" this my favorite CD I heard last year. And it's very close to "Daisy". When I listen to it a little more and pay more attention to the lyrics, I'm sure I won't have any trouble giving it a 5.

I just read the review and then all of the comments, only to see you post that it was a joke. Thank God for that.

first four tracks of this album but there are alot of mediocre ones after that. I dont think I agree with comparing this band to the arctic monkeys except the fact that they both have the english sounding singing.

Why would you write a joke review for this? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's not like this album is so terrible that a joke review is actually funny and worthwhile...

This is average at worst, so why not write a joke review for something that is awful like Black Veil Brides?

Influences abound on the gritty self-titled debut LP from Kentucky's Cage The Elephant, yet one cannot help from getting caught up in its energy & fun. Playing a brand of alternative southern rock, the quintet differentiate themselves by infusing blues, funk & garage punk into their sound. One moment they sound like Jet morphing into The White Stripes, while the next they are The Red Hot Chilli Peppers by way of The Rolling Stones. It's brash, rambunctious & full of character, even if its mid-section drags and the riffs & rowdy vocals wear thin by album's end. Recommended Tracks: In One Ear, Free Love, Soil to the Sun & James Brown.

Wonder if they'll have another song of theirs in the second borderlands.

Good review it nails the album. The band I find is very original but an aquired taste. I have defenitly aqured that taste! Ain't No Rest for the Wicked, Tiny Little Robots and Back Against the Wall are proabaly my favorite out of this album.
