Gave it a makeover. The greatest album in the universe didn't deserve such a crappy, sloppy track by track. It needed renovation.

Excellent review, I all agree 100%. The first disc was so well put together and tightly wound I wondered could the 2nd disc be really that good? Just listening to the 2nd disc a few days ago and I don't know how I lived without it! Down By The Seaside is currently my favorite Zeppelin song along with Sick Again, which sounds fabulous at Knebworth on DVD.This Message Edited On 03.30.06

The Rover is one of my favorite zeppelin songs and this is one of their best albums in my opinion.

Hmmm. Yes well put. I must disagree though.

the rover> Chuck Norris round-house kicking a thug.

It's that good. This Message Edited On 04.17.06This Message Edited On 04.17.06

Most likely Zeps artistic and creative peak. this album rocks, plain and simple. The Rover has a great simple riff, Houses Of The Holy swings really nicely, Ten Years Gone is terrific, and Down By The Seaside is a breezy kick. Musically this is just a nice balanced effort and great sounding record. Good job by Jimmy and the boys. And Trampled Underfoot makes me wanna drive around all night getting chased by the cops . Nice tight review, as well....

A Rock masterpiece. The musicianship on this album is nothing less than brilliant and the songs themselves are phenomenal. By far Zeppelin's strongest album.

Not my favourite zeppelin album but still good. The first disc is like a greatest hits package, the second has some good songs (in the light, down by the seaside, bron yr aur, wanton song) but it seems to get really weak towards the end.
