Flute on Moths is so good [2]
One of my favourite songs of all time. The lyrics are beautiful too, as is David Palmer's orchestration.

Never had a problem with the mixing personally. I think the production is pretty much perfect.

I think it sounds a bit dry and it annoys me considering how good the songwriting is. Ian has this

incredible charisma and it emanates in his singing and that makes his vocal style so unique. Also he's

a musical genius ofc.

Surprised at the low number of comments

I'm also surprised by the average rating. Should be a 4 at the very least.

Ian's songwriting on here is superb. Some of his best lyrics are on this album.

Hehe sorry but there's quite a gulf in quality between this and those KC albums for me. After all this is one of my favourite
albums ever.

Guess I'm just a sucker for KC like you're for Tull, in any case both bands are terrific

I never got big into these guys, I only know a score of songs off of an even smaller score of albums. Seen them live twice though and Ian was outstanding both times, he really seems to get into it. Maybe its about time I pay the band their due respects and get a couple albums

I'd say all of their albums from their debut up to (and including) Stormwatch are worth hearing. War Child is probably the least essential out of those but even that album has a couple of essential Tull tracks (Skating Away... being the best).

How long ago was it you saw Tull out of interest?

first time was over a decade ago, it was my first concert and I couldnt even recall one song from it

but it was still a blast.

second time I can remember a lot better, I wanna say around '05... they toured with some impressive

and sexy violinist too. The intro riff of Aqualung practically rupture my organs it was so deep. They

came back for an encore after the applause wouldn't end for 15 minutes lol, I remember hearing the

piano for Locomotive Breath as the lights dimmed and saw a few people run across the stage holding a

flashlight steady to simulate a train passing by... thinking of the moment still give me goosebumps
