Wow, just discovered this band an hour ago and I'm actually pretty surprised that such talented guys didn't get attention they deserve. I would say that this is exactly what I expected of Muse to evolve into, and since their last album is a big disappointment, here we have sth that just hits the spot.

Second half is all kinds of awesome though. Just the first half sounds samey - same drive in the instruments, same increasing 'epicness' in the vocals.

Good review. I'm feeling a little weird about this album for some reason. I have a feeling it's a grower, and the fact that I have been pumped for this for so long may have made my expectations too high. There is definitely a lot of potential in it though. Gotta disagree about Next In Line and Reaction, I really like those songs. Big is probably the worst they have written... Kim's voice is usually my favourite part of the band, but I find it slightly annoying in that one. Good call on the Drum though, freakin' awesome.
