I stopped buying physical now. CDs cost twice as much now as they did 15 years ago, and space at home is limited (I have over 2,000 CDs at home). Besides, downloading digital means you don't have to worry whether you ripped the CD correctly or not (yes, I made that mistake a number of times before), and it costs cheaper. Obviously, you no longer get the satisfaction of flicking through the booklet with artwork in your hands as you listen to the songs, but what can you do?

Anasarca will be new to me too so that's cool. Listening to Vomiting now and I see what you mean about it being a little stranger in comparison. Digging it though.
I actually almost reviewed Odium back around when I did this one. Crazy it still doesn't have a review. I'm actually going to start reviewing more of the lesser knownish old school death metal albums again (and well known ones that are just neglected). I've got two in mind that I'm going to start with but after I might give a Morgoth one a go. Been meaning to start up with them again for awhile. The past few reviews I've posted are just reposts from around this time that were originally on my blogsite

I'm pretty much with you on that Pika. I quit buying cds about 5 years ago probably. Just started buying vinyl again a few weeks ago but I'm definitely not trying to go overboard with it. Do miss the booklets and all of that jazz though

I need to jam their third one again since it's been awhile but I remember it being one of the best out of all of the bands that had a major sound shift in the genre. I feel like some people just hear the band quit playing death metal and automatically slap it with a 1 or 1.5 without really listening or giving it a chance whatsoever.
As for the other Fearer albums I've only heard Confession to Hate aside from this one. It's actually a pretty solid album as well but I recall finding this one a little more memorable overall

actually im listening to godmachine right now and it kinda straddles the line between dm and bm at times... kinda like unanimated maybe? demo era dissection? lot of mid-high register tremz and some melodic moments

That sounds right up my alley! I've got Godmachine and Feel Sorry for the Fanatic ready to go for when I wake up. It'll be interesting to compare it with Grin going back. I ignored Grin for the longest and it's shameful because it wound up being one of my favorites tbh.

I see what ya did there! Lol you digging it? The leads on that track are indeed sick. I'm really, really digging Godmachine so far. Wish I would have stumbled across it long ago tbh. I'm stoked somebody finally jammed this
